  23.  It's easy, but  you'll have to look
  24. in your modem manual for the (couple of) characters that you have to add to 
  25. your
  26. initial. string.  Look for "reporting DCE" speed.  You're currently getting
  27. DTE speed (which no one really wants reported anyway). Or maybe someone
  28. will know off-hand.

  30. p.s. I assume you're modem can report it.  But maybe not all of them have
  31. that option.
